Building Bluegrass Community across Oregon.
Our story
Founded in 1982, the Oregon Bluegrass Association (OBA), is a volunteer-run, 501(c) (3), non-profit arts organization consisting consists of both individual and band memberships.
The OBA is led by an elected Board of Directors who volunteer for two-year terms. Monthly meetings are open to all members and an Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 23, 2026 in Shaniko, Oregon for the state-wide and regional members. Financial support for the OBA comes from membership dues, fundraising events, tax-deductible donations, merchandise sales.
When you join the OBA, you’re not just signing up for a membership — you’re joining a movement that connects musicians and music lovers across the state.
Membership
Membership dues drive the funding to build out programming and build our bluegrass communities throughout Oregon.
Oregon Bluegrass Association membership connects you with others who share your passion. The OBA supports local jams, festivals, and concerts where friendships and collaborations are born.
Your membership helps sustain programs that nurture bluegrass at every level — from workshops and instrument lending programs to regional events and educational outreach.
Your dues directly support Oregon’s bluegrass infrastructure — helping small venues, regional jams, and up-and-coming artists find audiences and community.
Members have a voice in the organization’s direction, can volunteer, serve on committees, and contribute ideas that make a real impact.
It’s only $30/year. What are you waiting for?
